RAFA Easter Egg Run

In August 2009 a limited number of young people were invited to work alongside the Professional Artistic Staff as part of the Arts Ed Programme at WB Theatre. Six months on and with three back to back productions under their belts ‘scene and not heard’, as they have become known are now firmly established as the resident youth company at Wootton Bassett Theatre.

Never shy of pushing boundaries or willing to limit expectations, scene and not heard performances are never predictable or ineffective. Rarely does one leave the theatre without feeling moved by the experience.

This is real theatre from real actors…..

.....For if their brilliant performance in ‘A Pittance of Time’ which I went to at the unique theatre behind the Red Lion in Wootton Bassett’s High Street is anything to go by, they all have a great future ahead of them. This was a deeply moving production by the ‘Scene and Not Heard’ youth company on the whole question of warfare and remembrance, and culminating in some thoughts about Wootton Bassett’s Repatriation ceremonies. They gave us all plenty to think about, and plenty of reason to want to go back to their future productions.
